Description Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2013-01-31 21:11:16 UTC
The text editor sometimes flashes black when XS regains focus. It looks like the redraw is not atomic - it blanks then draws?
Comment 1 Mike Krüger 2013-02-01 01:43:38 UTC
The text editor can't blank - I assume some gtk magic is happening there
Comment 2 Mike Krüger 2013-02-04 06:24:42 UTC
btw. I can't repro that (atm I've the old theme) - can you do a screencast ?
Comment 3 Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2013-02-04 17:02:20 UTC
It's not reproducible on demand. I'm not exactly what causes it to redraw, it only happens sometimes.
Comment 4 Mike Krüger 2013-02-06 00:21:20 UTC
Can it be that the overlay scrollbars cause that ?

I tested monodevelop on linux - I had no way reproducing it there.

btw.
It's fairly easy to reproduce on mac. Just make the text editor as large as possible. And switch between monodevelop and another application.

It is a really annoying drawing glitch. The background color of the text area is set to the correct value - therefore I suppose it's something in gtk on mac causing this.
