Crash report

Building my app with the normal compiler works fine, but when switching to the LLVM compiler, it causes an infinite loop (I think, based on the stack trace in the crash report) during some initialization.

Caveat: this app is written in Java which is converted to CLR bytecode using IKVM. The crash is in java.util.Hashtable get as converted by IKVM. Unfortunately the stack already seems blown by the time the crash happens, so I'm not able to more easily isolate the call that results in the crash.

Attached is a MonoDevelop project that should reproduce the crash if you try to build and run it on a device. I've also attached a crash report.

I think it was still uploading. It should work now.

Fixed in mobile-master.

I just tried this with the latest release (Xamarin.IOS Version: 6.2.0.65 (Trial Edition)) and it's exhibiting the same infinite loop then crash behavior. Should it be fixed?
Comment 6 Zoltan Varga 2013-03-13 16:19:49 UTC
This was fixed by 53c5f7d5bb6c86681d6fd1e329ce1f3b09b01fd6 on mobile-master. Does this commit made 6.2.0.65 ?
Comment 7 Rolf Bjarne Kvinge [MSFT] 2013-03-13 17:34:50 UTC
No, it did not make the 6.2.0 release.

It will be in the upcoming 6.2.1
