Description of Problem:
I created my first project after installing latest version of Xamarin package for Android development (4.4.54). After opening Main.axml, error is shown as in attachment.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Install fresh Xamarin package for Android development
2. Create new project (Hello world)
3. Open Main.axml

Actual Results:
Exception of type 'Xamarin.AndroidDesigner.DesignerException'

Expected Results:
GUI editor?

How often does this happen?
Every time

Additional Information:
Running program in emulator is successful.
Same thing happens if I create 'Hello world' project in Visual Studio 2010

Do you still get this error with the latest version of Xamarin.Android?
Comment 2 Ivan Ivic 2013-03-13 18:36:35 UTC
No, everything works fine now! :)
Comment 3 Jatin 2013-03-19 08:53:38 UTC
We have verified this issue with the latest builds:

MFA 4.6.01072
XS 4.0.2.22
VS 2012/2010
Mono 2.10.12

And now this issue is not appearing, as the designer load successfully.

Hence, closing this issue.

Hi!

The build with this fix is out on the beta channel. You can retrieve beta updates by going into your Xamarin Studio->Check for Updates, and then selecting 'Beta' for the Update Channel.

Please let us know if this fixes it for you!

Thanks,

PJ
