Description Jose Medrano 2012-12-13 10:29:18 UTC
Hi, I have a problem with Pasteboard on AppDelegate

public override void OnActivated (UIApplication application) { var paste = UIPasteboard.General.GetValue ("public.utf8-plain-text"); }

Variable paste has value on Emulator and is null on iPhone Device

On FinishedLaunching I have persistent parameter activated UIPasteboard.General.Persistent = true;

¿Any idea?

This seems to be a version difference in iOS.

iOS 5.1 (iPhone/iPad Simulator or iPhone 4): "public.utf8-plain-text" is always null.
iOS 6.0 (iPhone/iPad Simulator or iPad 3): "public.utf8-plain-text" has a value if I've previously copied something.

I've tested with both Xcode and MonoTouch, and got identical behavior in both cases.

Can you confirm if your device is iOS 5?

If not I'd probably need a complete test project to be able to reproduce it myself.

My test device is Ipad 2nd generation IOS version 5.1.1 (9B206).
Test pasted is any html code from chrome/safari browser.

Yes, then this is the expected behavior from MonoTouch (where the expected behavior is to behave like an identical Xcode app).

Can you try "public.text"? That works for me on both versions.
