Please create a new report on
Developer Community or GitHub with
your current version information, steps to reproduce, and relevant error
messages or log files if you are hitting an issue that looks similar to
this resolved bug and you do not yet see a matching new report.
Step to reproduce:
1. Open "CoreImage" sample application in MD
2. Debug the application on device
3. Click on "Rebase Test Images"
4. Click on "Rebase"
5. Observe that application throws 'System.UnauthorizedAccessException'.
On clicking "Rebase" through 'Rebase Test Images -> Rebase , application throws exception: "System.UnauthorizedAccessException has been thrown. Access to the path "/private/var/mobile/Applications/7ECCA4C2-EA0F-46DC-BC7A-4CE89E266740/coreimage.app/TestImages/ColorControls.png" is denied."
On clicking "Rebase" through 'Rebase Test Images -> Rebase , application should not throw any exception/error and it should work properly.
iOS device log:
MD 3.0.5 Stable
MT 6.0.8 20faf1fe53be8e75d91e3ec6791935cbfe2e0808
iPhone 4S iOS 6.0
Regression Status: Not A REGRESSION, as this issue also exist with stable MD 3.0.5 and Stable MT 6.0.6.
Note : This issue does not appear on Release mode as in release mode two options 'Rebase Test Images' and 'Test Filters' do not appear in application.
That's "normal" as the application does not have the permission to write in that place (devices are more restrictive than the simulator).
Those options are used for debugging (that's why they are only seen in DEBUG builds) and getting back the image (from a device) would be a bit more complicated.
I'll update the sample not to save the images when running on devices (and write a warning on the application output).
Today we have this issue on following builds :
XS 4.0.8(build 2)
Device info :
iPhone 5 iOS 6.0.2
Now on clicking "Rebase" through 'Rebase Test Images -> Rebase , application is
not throwing any exception/error and it works properly.
Hence change its status to verified.
