RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 8831

Description Willem Meints 2012-11-18 02:03:24 UTC
While I was doing something totally unrelated to Mono for Android I ran into a problem where Visual Studio is throwing unobserved task exceptions in a MfA dialog at me. Each time I open or save a Javascript file I get the following error:

---------------------------

---------------------------
System.AggregateException: A Task's exception(s) were not observed either by Waiting on the Task or accessing its Exception property. As a result, the unobserved exception was rethrown by the finalizer thread. ---> System.OperationCanceledException: The operation was canceled.

   at System.Threading.CancellationToken.ThrowOperationCanceledException()

   at Microsoft.VisualStudio.Project.VS.Implementation.Package.TreeService.<>c__DisplayClass34.<CreateAndApplyTreeUpdate>b__30(Task`1 latestTreeTask)

   at System.Threading.Tasks.ContinuationResultTaskFromResultTask`2.InnerInvoke()

   at System.Threading.Tasks.Task.Execute()

   --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

---> (Inner Exception #0) System.OperationCanceledException: The operation was canceled.

   at System.Threading.CancellationToken.ThrowOperationCanceledException()

   at Microsoft.VisualStudio.Project.VS.Implementation.Package.TreeService.<>c__DisplayClass34.<CreateAndApplyTreeUpdate>b__30(Task`1 latestTreeTask)

The exception itself has probably nothing to do with MfA but rather with the javascript infrastructure in Visual Studio 2012. So in this case, I think the plugin should be a little picky in what to show ;)
