Description sharpensteel 2012-10-09 10:11:54 UTC
when i trying to build monodevelop 3.0.4.x from sources, i get error and `make` stops:

# make
> git submodule update --init --recursive
> fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git
> make: *** [update_submodules] Error 128

and there is nowere ".git" directory in the sources.

old version 3.0.3.5 builds ok.

Can anybody help?

Comment 2 sharpensteel 2012-10-09 10:20:50 UTC
branch "monodevelop-3.0.4-branch" commit e5732ee431
Comment 3 Alan McGovern 2012-10-24 17:15:58 UTC
This is fixed in master and i believe in 3.0.5.

With existing releases you just have to comment out that section of the makefiles/configure scripts.
