This annoyance took me some time to track down.
When clicking expand/collapse triangle in watch popup it sometimes selects the line instead of expanding/collapsing children nodes after that mouse cursor must be moved or any click is ignored.
Sample video (the prolongue waits are when I clicked like crazy on the expand/collapse)
This reminds me of the gtk tree expander bug in the solution tree (which I think was a gtk bug).
Lluis: could this be the same issue?
This might be the same issue or a slightly different one, but I noticed something about the behavior.
If I move the mouse cursor (even slightly), each click toggles the disclosure triangle.
If I click in the same place, subsequent clicks do not toggle.
*** Bug 12507 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
I filed bug 12507, it may be a duplicate, but what I see is quite different from the screen shot. In the screen shot the inspection stops deep inside the object, and repeated clicking eventually opens the inspection.
In my case, the inspection doesn't open a single level, and it applies for all objects in the Locals panel (so if one doesn't open, none do).
Having the inspection fail to work 20% of the time is almost the same as having it fail all the time from a usability perspective. If there is anything I can do to help diagnose this bug let me know.
Do you think you could make a screencast so that I can see what you are seeing?
If you don't have software to help make a screencast, you can use http://www.techsmith.com/jing.html (it's free and is what we all use at Xamarin for this purpose).

Screen shot of insoection not opening
In the example, clicking the inspection box does nothing. Thanks,
I can't reproduce this... Is anyone still seeing this?
We have not received the requested information. If you are still experiencing this issue please provide all the requested information and re-open the bug report. Thanks
