RESOLVED FIXED

Description Chris Hardy [MSFT] 2012-10-05 07:01:53 UTC
"I've created a custom LinearLayout and when I try to use it, the designer no longer works. I have a message that says The layout could not be loaded: com.android.layoutlib.bridge.MockView cannot be cast to android.view.ViewGroup"

Any news on this issue ?
Comment 4 Lluis Sanchez 2012-11-16 12:03:00 UTC
The cast error is fixed, but the designer doesn't support rendering custom widgets. The custom widget will be shown as a placeholder.

Removing the crash is useless if you can't somehow render something. Could you find the first base class that you can render and use that one ?
