Project files

Jonathan Pryor suggested I posted a bug repport here.

The bug as the summary says, is that the debugger does not display debug output from javac in the VS2010 output window. So it is very hard to find problems in my java code as I don't see the messages telling me what is wrong with the code.

I have zipped my project as Jonathan suggested and uploaded it here, though I have removed some parts that should not have anything to do with the bug, which I cannot show you.

The attached project doesn't build for me; I believe that you are missing some files:

: error CS2001: Source file `LocationsActivity.cs' could not be found
: error CS2001: Source file `Reuse/MyModel.cs' could not be found
: error CS2001: Source file `Reuse/NoiseSentinelDirectoryEntryV1.cs' could not be found
: error CS2001: Source file `Reuse/NoiseSentinelDirectoryV1.cs' could not be found
: error CS2001: Source file `Reuse/SerializationHelper.cs' could not be found

I also believe (though I would love correction) that the actual problem isn't that the _Debugger_ doesn't display javac output, but instead that the _Output Window_ doesn't display javac errors. I would just like to confirm that.

Please attach a project which has the above build errors corrected.

Compiling project files
Comment 3 Tomasz Cielecki 2011-09-12 03:10:10 UTC
I have added project files that compile. Sorry about the mistake I made with the other zip file.

And yes you are correct about that it is the Output Window which does not show Javac errors.

Removing NEEDINFO.

Fixed in new-build branch.

Note this fix will be in the 2.0 release, not any of the 1.x releases.
