Description adam.lickel 2012-08-22 14:33:41 UTC
Currently mdtool is extremely verbose.
Unfortunately all output is written to stdout and there is no way to pass a --quiet type of option.

Ideally error messages would be printed to stderr, so one could just do:
mdtool build > /dev/null
and receive just the warning and error output.

This matters for our CI environment, there's no way for us to only get errors and warnings.
Comment 2 Anthony Yakovlev 2013-02-28 09:23:54 UTC
This fix would be of great value here at Nival because we do CI for our linux server code via mdtool and it spams output greatly.

I think mdtool is deprecated now in favour of xbuild (soon to be official msbuild).
