Description Rodrigo Kumpera 2011-09-06 10:21:46 UTC
I'm not sure exactly what's going on here.

What I saw was that samples/Hello didn't stop compiling/deploying.

JPobst helped me track this down to a missing <AndroidLinkMode> entry in Hello.csproj.

The solution was to add AndroidLinkMode>None</AndroidLinkMode> to <PropertyGroup Condition=" '$(Configuration)|$(Platform)' == 'Debug|AnyCPU' ">.

My concern here is that the default value of AndroidLinkMode changed between mandroid/MonoDevelop. Can this cause breakage for our users when they update?

This was just an issue because the Hello sample predates our default template which sets AndroidLinkMode to None in Debug configuration.

The default in the targets has always been SdkOnly.
