Tried with both auto formatting on and off.
1. Open Events.sln
2. Enter AppDelegate.cs
3. Move the cursor to the end of the whitespace in HandleOpenURL
4. Press Shift+Up to select all whitespace up to the end of the top brace
5. Press delete
Notice that the two braces below the selected lines also get removed
Tested on MD 220.127.116.11
I can't repro, unfortunately.
Downloaded the test case and deleted the same lines and had only the two lines selected deleted.
Mkrueger, if you have any advice for further diagnosing these kinds of issues in the future please let me know.

I can repro it
The thing is that you need to be a bit creative - 'delete' can mean backspace - in this case that's true.
Another thing is that users use different options. For that bug the 'insert matching bracket' option needs to be turned on.
When trying to repro bugs I recommend turning on as much options as possible :)
