Description Chris Toshok 2012-08-03 14:01:45 UTC
select a range of text, format selection, first line isn't changed (although it's most definitely part of the selection).

Seems to work for me - can you give me a more concrete use case ?

btw. which version of monodevelop are you using ?

I did: http://screencast.com/t/9zAu8RF3GqC

the formatting operation begins at the start of the text on the first line, so it reformats internal spacing as your video shows, but it doesn't move the text on the first line to the place it should be:

tests:

1) the selection is pretty much the same as yours - the lines all start where they're supposed to, and just have differences in internal spacing
2) shift the selected text to the left and reformat the selection - first line isn't indented properly.
3) select the entire line of the first line, not just starting at the text - first line isn't indented properly.

the bugs in 2) and 3) also exist if you shift the selection to the right instead of the left.

monodevelop 3.0.3.5

I think that's the expected behavior - just change the formatting in the selection - and not outside.

In this case the indentation is outside.
