After installing latest version of MacOS 10.6.8 none of the characters in either MonoDevelop 2.42 or 2.6b render correctly. All characters are replaced with a ✋ (rectangle).

What version of OSX do you have?
Seems this is related to bug #797
Also seems related to #515.
Tony, what version(s) of Mono do you have installed? Could you please make sure you have Mono 2.10.5, and if you have any old versions in /Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/Versions, could you please remove those directories and see if that helps?
I've Mono 2.10.5. I'll try to remove directories.
