RESOLVED FIXED

Description Simon Lindgren 2012-07-19 09:08:41 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
1. In the code below, fold the comment
2. Click and drag to select the folded comment.

Expected outcome:
At some point, the selection should include the entire folded comment, but not the newline character.

Actual outcome:
The selection jumps directly from nothing of the folded comment to the entire folded comment + the newline.

I cannot reproduce this with keyboard selection or with folded code, only folded comments.

Example code:

class A
{
	void F ()
	{
		// first line
		// second line

		/* first line
		 * second line */
	}
}

I think you may've been run in the jumping caret bug here.

At least I can't repro it with master anymore - regardless of the font setting.

Reopen, if I've not seen something (maybe with a screencast ?)

I still have the problem in bebfeb378c77e874cb72bea4e625e2ecc5d7ea4b.

I made a short video: http://files.riviti.org/~simon/2012-07/MonoDevelop-bug6192-bad-selection-behaviour-cropped.webm

Please excuse the colors and the speed, I got fed up trying to find a program that could crop correctly :/
