Please create a new report for Bug 61198 on
Developer Community if you have new
information to add and do not yet see a matching new report.
If the latest results still closely match this report, you can use the
Drag a Label onto a view and double-click it to edit the text for the Label. The caret starts at the begging of the word Label. On VSMac, the entire text ("Label") is highlighted. The VSM behavior is ideal because it makes it quick to delete/replace the text. This is a small paper cut that is annoying.
Make the behavior consistent with how VSM behaves.
Another benefit to this approach:
- If I want to add something to the beginning, double-click and then left arrow key
- If I want to add something to the end, double-click and then right arrow key
This is how WPF designer works. Our users have "muscle memory" here and we should be consistent.
