Description greg2fs 2017-12-15 09:30:08 UTC
I'm using VS 2017 15.5.2 community with xamarin on windows 10, and connect to a macbook under macos high sierra 10.13.1 with xcode 9.2 and vs 7.3.2 (build 12). Everything is up to date.

I can connect from pc to mac through ssh without issue.
I was able to compile and run ios an ios app yesterday from windows 7, but after updated my iphone the compiled app wasn't launched when trying to debug so I decided to update xcode and also windows because I add other issue on my pc so I installed windows 10 (fresh install).

Now in windows when I start the mac agent and try to connect it seems to connect, ask for mac logins and when I validate after few seconds I receive the message "Error: Couldn't connect to Macbook de Gregory, please try again" and VS crashes after some seconds.

I tried connecting the mac agent with the ip, in my sshdconfig I put:
PasswordAuthentication yes
ChallengeResponseAuthentication yes
UseDNS no

with no change, I deactivated and reactivated Remote Loging on the mac with no effect.

Changing the product to be the VS extensions which is the correct product. The team behind it will take care.

It works now, I don't really know why, things I remember I did since last time:
-copied the project from windows to mac
-opened the project in vs mac and try to connect to my visualstudio git without success
-tried ssh connection from mc to visualstudio git, trusted host, but said access denied
-tried again in visualstudio, but fail
-on windows opened the project, didn't tried to connect mac agent, tried to launch debug on ios simulator (still from windows) and mac agent dialog appeared, I added the ip and the connection worked.

Now the mac agent connect itself...
