I've been using custom fonts for a while. Since switching to newer VS (15.4.5) and Xcode 9.1 the ad-hoc build won't find my custom fonts at runtime anymore. It works fine when debugging, msbuild output lists the font files during build. There are no errors during compilation.
Fonts are OTF.
Fonts are in Fonts subdirectory, Build Action is set as BundleResource (or Content, tried both) and Copy always. They are listed in info.plist as well.
It's just that at runtime they can't be find with either UIFont.FamilyNames or UIFont.FromName.
Any idea what's going on?

Now another weird thing. I tried building it on Mac and fonts were there. Uninstalled application.
Going back to VS on Windows, did a rebuild and deploy. And fonts were there as well. The same step failed before building on VS for Mac.
Sounds like it's working for you now? Have you been able to reproduce the problem again?
Indeed it works constantly now. Silly me, didn't try to decompress .ipa file to check whether fonts are there not when it wasn't working.
The scary part is that I don't know why it wasn't working and why it works now. Kind of black magic. I assume some resource (fonts) caching issues or something like that.
Since I can't repro (at the moment) shall we close this and I would reopen it if happens again?
Also, do you guys have any idea what could go wrong?
Working with 15.5 as well.
@Miha I'll close the bug as "Cannot reproduce". AFAIK we do not know of any change that could have broken the build in the way you describe. If you DO see the bug reappearing please feel free to reopen the bug.
