Starting to see this error on Xamarin.Forms.2.5.0.77107, as yet I have not been able to reproduce devices as follows:

HUAWEI VNS-L31
MEIZU M3 NOTE
MOTOROLA XT1254

android.runtime.JavaProxyThrowable: System.NotSupportedException: Unable to activate instance of type Xamarin.Forms.Platform.Android.AppCompat.NavigationPageRenderer from native handle 0xbeca59dc (key_handle 0x4c16a92). ---> System.MissingMethodException: No constructor found for Xamarin.Forms.Platform.Android.AppCompat.NavigationPageRenderer::.ctor(System.IntPtr, Android.Runtime.JniHandleOwnership) ---> Java.Interop.JavaLocationException: Exception of type 'Java.Interop.JavaLocationException' was thrown.

I might suggest doing a usual full clean/rebuild and check the support libraries to see if updating helps (as well as making certain package versions are properly aligned), but otherwise if you find a way to reproduce the issue, do please upload a reproduction project for us to investigate further.

I'm only seeing this on a released version of my App, I haven't seen it whilst developing. I will of course upload a repo if I come across it.

Ok. I'm starting to see this with a few more devices.

Question: Regardless of me being able to reproduce it or not why would the area state

System.MissingMethodException: No constructor found for Xamarin.Forms.Platform.Android.AppCompat.NavigationPageRenderer::.ctor(System.IntPtr, Android.Runtime.JniHandleOwnership) 

Why would it state that there is a missing constructor? Surely this is a framework issue? Just trying to understand why that error is thrown.
