Description Jordan Barker 2017-11-06 23:34:24 UTC
##Overview

When compiling and running a Xamarin.Forms iOS application implementing a dependency service to lock the orientation of a page, iPhone will work and lock the orientation of a page, but on the iPad the screen orientation is not locked.
We are using the dependency describe in the following forum post:
https://stackoverflow.com/a/33522544/5957162

##Steps to replicate

1). Download attached sample project
2). Compile and run on Mac
3). Run on iPhone simulator
4.) Select "Custom Calculator" button
5.) The screen should automatically flip to landscape
6.) Run on iPad simulator
7.) The screen does not lock in landscape orientation

##Observed results

The iPhone simulator works properly and locks the orientation of the screen. The iPad simulator does not lock the orientation of the screen.

##Expected Results

The orientation on the iPhone and iPad would be locked depending on which method was implemented - Portrait or Landscape
