Description John Miller [MSFT] 2017-11-03 19:38:45 UTC
## Overview

After deleting the Name property of a control, the <outlet> tag created in the Storyboard file for that Name remains.

## Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a new Single View iOS App
2. Open the storyboard file
3. Drag a Button onto the View
4. Type in a Name via the Properties > Name textbox with the Button selected

At this step, there is an <outlet> connection in the Storyboard file. Verify by opening the storyboard in a text editor and search the xml for the same Name you used in step 4.

5. Delete the Name value for the Button and save the storyboard.

## Actual Results

Edit the storyboard file in a text editor again and notice that the <outlet> for it remains.

## Expected Results

The <outlet> entry should be removed.

## Additional Details

VSMac 7.3 behaves as expected and correctly removes the <outlet> entry.

## Regression Check

Does not appear to be a regression

15.5 Preview 3: BAD
15.4.2 Stable: Bad

John, I've tried to reproduce this bug with 15.4.2 and with master branch without any luck - http://recordit.co/a2YBsMI0AJ. Did I miss something?
Comment 3 John Miller [MSFT] 2017-11-08 15:45:09 UTC

The steps look OK in the recording. Were you unable to reproduce with 15.4.2 like I was? Can you confirm if 15.5 Preview 3 reproduces the issue but master does not?
Comment 4 Nikita Matrosov 2017-11-10 12:27:26 UTC

I tried three configurations:
1) 15.4.2
2) 15.5 Preview 3
3) master branch along 15.4.2 (https://github.com/xamarin/designer#windows-1)

No one of them reproduces this issue.

Can you verify whether this bug reproduces with other elements, e.g. <segue/> and attach sample project?
