Description Justin 2012-07-09 14:20:53 UTC
If I search the entire project for a string and get an entry that points to an Android layout file, double-clicking that item causes the layout designer to open in content view.

It should open in Source view, with the cursor at the location of the found search string.

Also, after opening in Content view, when I switch to Source view, the cursor is not at the search location, causing me to have to search again locally in the file for the desired string.

I can CONFIRM this behavior still exists in Visual Studio for Mac 7.1 (Preview).

I believe Justin's comment in https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=6050#c0 still holds.

The behavior of this should really be enhanced for productivity sake in the means of letting the user take immediate action rather than having to switch to the Source tab AND find their line number. The search already provides the exact File and Line Number, so we should leverage that.
