Description Rohanm 2017-10-30 18:23:52 UTC
Hi,

I have tried to implement Rewarded ad in my xamarin android app. I am able to show rewarded ads but not able to handle any events for ad loaded, rewarded, etc.

I am not sure why there are so many different ways ( 3 ways ) to register the listener for the rewarded ads.

The first two options dont work but the third one works.

1) Setting the adlistener - IRewardedVideoAd.RewardedVideoAdListener = IRewardedVideoAdListener;
2) Calling the Set method to set the listener - InterstitialAd.SetRewardedVideoAdListener(IRewardedVideoAdListener); 3) Registering the events on the interstistial ad - InterstitialAd.RewardedVideoAdClosed += OnRewardedVideoAdClosed;

Even if the 3 option is working the event "Rewarded" is not called. The ad never terminates by self.

Can you please fix the bug of the first option not working?

Thanks, Rohan

I'm experiencing the same issue and have not found a way to determine if the user watched the video ad to completion or closed it halfway through.

Are there any workarounds to get the Rewarded callbacks working?

Hi Jason,

My Activity implements IRewardedVideoAdListener and then you register like below -

_rewardedVideoAd = MobileAds.GetRewardedVideoAdInstance(this);
_rewardedVideoAd.RewardedVideoAdListener = this;

This is working for me.

Thanks,
Rohan

Hi Rohan,
  Thanks for the tip! Using your advice I was able to get this working.

  For anyone else reading this, if you decide to implement the IRewardedVideoAdListener outside of the Activity class, make sure your class inherits from Java.Lang.Object so the Handle pointer is correctly initialized. I was missing this at first and my listener events were not firing.
