RESOLVED FIXED

Description Daniel Isenmann 2012-07-08 14:02:11 UTC
As described in the summary, monodevelop-debugger-gdb 3.0.3.2.can't be compiled from source. It complains about the following missing file:

make[2]: Entering directory `/build/src/monodevelop-debugger-gdb-3.0.3.2'
make[2]: Leaving directory `/build/src/monodevelop-debugger-gdb-3.0.3.2'
PKG_CONFIG_PATH=../../local-config:$PKG_CONFIG_PATH dmcs -noconfig -codepage:utf8 -warn:4 -optimize- -debug "-define:DEBUG" -out:build/MonoDevelop.Debugger.Gdb.dll -target:library './AssemblyInfo.cs' './CommandStatus.cs' './GdbBacktrace.cs' './GdbCommandResult.cs' './GdbEvent.cs' './GdbSession.cs' './GdbSessionFactory.cs' './ResultData.cs'  '-resource:./Manifest.addin.xml'    -r:Mono.Posix   -pkg:monodevelop   -pkg:monodevelop-core-addins    -r:System
error CS0006: Metadata file `/usr/lib/pkgconfig/../../lib/monodevelop/AddIns/DisplayBindings/Gettext/MonoDevelop.Gettext.dll' could not be found
Compilation failed: 1 error(s), 0 warnings

But the file is located at:
/usr/lib/pkgconfig/../../lib/monodevelop/AddIns/DisplayBindings/MonoDevelop.Gettext/MonoDevelop.Gettext.dll

and not at the path where the compiler is looking at:
/usr/lib/pkgconfig/../../lib/monodevelop/AddIns/DisplayBindings/Gettext/MonoDevelop.Gettext.dll

Already fixed in master.

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 5431 ***
Comment 2 Daniel Isenmann 2012-07-10 13:21:12 UTC
No, this commit is already in monodevelop 3.0.3.2 included and it doesn't work.

So there is another problem with the files.
Comment 4 Jeffrey Stedfast 2012-07-17 16:10:51 UTC
fixed in git master and the monodevelop-3.0.3-branch
Comment 5 Jeffrey Stedfast 2012-07-17 17:23:16 UTC
n/m, that broke the MonoDevelop build. yay.
Comment 6 Lluis Sanchez 2015-08-21 05:59:49 UTC
MD is building fine on the linux bot, so I assume this is fixed.
