When I attempt to launch the remoted iOSimulator, I see a message that the application is trying to connect to the MAC.  This is followed by the message "Xarmin Simulator", The device b5481aba-88f3-4147-b287-2eaa2803e554 was not found.  I can select a different emulator and get the same message with a different guid.

The simulator log shows.

Have you set your Visual Studio to use a non-standard Xcode? If so, which Xcode did you select in the options?

Can you include the full logs from Visual Studio itself to help us diagnose the issue too.

Under Tools, Options, Xamarin, iOS Settings, Apple SDK - the Use default Xcode path is checked.

I just duplicated the problem and I am attaching a zip of the xamarin logs.

After discussion our belief is that the IDE is giving us a GUID which comes from a different version of Xcode.

Unfortunately the logs do not contain any information which would help us figure out where the GUID originally came from. I'll punt this to the IDE team now to see if they can figure out where that information came from. They might be able to suggest a few things to check to diagnose the issue.

Hi Dan, 
Do you have more than one version of Xcode installed on the Mac? 
If so, could you run "sudo xcode-select -switch /Applications/Xcode.app" on the Mac terminal, and then try to run the iOS app again?

Does it work with the simulator running on the Mac?

We did not realize we had multiple versions on the MAC.  They have been automatically updated by Apple.
