Description Jeremy Kolb 2017-10-18 16:20:52 UTC
After upgrading to Visual Studio 2017 15.4.0 my NDK settings are not being remembered between restarts of VS.

My SDK: C:\Users\jkolb\AppData\Local\Android\android-sdk

My NDK SHOULD be: C:\Users\jkolb\AppData\Local\Android\android-sdk\ndk-bundle

If I set the above NDK location and then restart VS and go into the options menu the location will be blank.

Note that the Xamarin Android SDK Manager sees the NDK.

I haven't been able to reproduce this so far. Just to confirm, you didn't experience this with 15.3? Can you attach the recent logs from Help > Xamarin so we can look into this further? After attaching the logs go ahead and set this back to NEW, thanks!

I did not see this with 15.3. It is also reported by a number of users on the forums.

Hey Jeremy,

Do you happen to have the Visual Studio 2017 Preview [1] installed? I'm using the latest Visual Studio 2017 version 15.5 Preview 2 and am unable to reproduce this issue. We had some fixes land after 15.4 shipped that should fix this issue. Could you give it a try with that build?

Thanks again,

I have 15.4.2 installed.
Comment 8 Jeremy Kolb 2017-11-29 20:25:52 UTC
This still happens with 15.4.5
