RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 6375

Description John 2012-07-06 09:30:24 UTC
When I am editing in Xcode and switch back to Monodevelop, sometimes my cs file is duplicated and all my code is gone. I have to insert all outlets again and recreate all code in the cs file once again.
It is impossible for me to continue, before there is a solution to this, since it is taking to much time now, checking for this error and rewriting the hole thing again.

Which file is duplicated? Could you attach a small project in which this happened?
Comment 2 John 2012-07-07 03:05:20 UTC
The designer.cs files are being copy over and over again. All Outlets are gone in the designer.cs file.
I have tried to replicate it in a small test program, with no luck.
Then I made a copy of my program and opened the designer Xcode, added 1 button and saved it.
The result was that another cs file was duplicated and the designer.cs is added. Every time I then do this, it increases.

I've just committed a fix that should prevent duplicates from being added to the project, but the .designer.cs files will probably still get overwritten.

I'll look into that next

Any chance you could attach the XcodeSync log file next time this happens to you?

You can find it in /Users/<account>/Library/Logs/MonoDevelop-3.0/Xcode4Sync-<date>.log

Thanks!
