Description PJ 2012-07-02 15:10:33 UTC
Summary: When the user increases the size of the widget vertically (from top to bottom), then after increasing the size of the widget, the user is not able to decrease the size of the same widgets vertically (from bottom to top).

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new MFA application.
2. Open the Main.axml file
3. Select any configuration, i.e. Portrait or Landscape.
4. Add any widgets to the layout.
5. Increase the size of the widget vertically.
6. Observe that after increasing the size of the widget, the user is not able to decrease the size of the same widgets vertically (from bottom to top).

Actual result: When the user increases the size of the widget vertically (from top to bottom), then after increasing the size of the widget, the user is not able to decrease the size of the same widgets vertically (from bottom to top).

Expected result: The user should able to increase and decrease the size of the widget successfully.

Environment:
Mac 10.6.8
MD 3.0.3.3 RC3
MFA 4.2.4 RC2

Seen on all other OSes as well.

Not a Regression.

Fixed in master.
Comment 4 Nischal 2012-07-23 04:42:53 UTC
The issue still exists, we have verified this using the following:
MFA 4.2.5 234611aba6206ad2c561d2d9b76772d0a76884cf
MD 3.0.3.4 Stable
All the environments (Windows and Mac)

Still, after increasing the size of the widget by clicking and dragging
circles of the widget's horizontal edge vertically downwards, the user is not
able to decrease the size of the same widget by clicking and dragging circles
of the widget's horizontal edge vertically upwards.

Below is the screencast for the same:

Comment 5 Lluis Sanchez 2012-07-23 05:48:58 UTC
The bug is fixed in master. The fix is not yet included in any release.
Comment 6 PJ 2012-07-23 08:35:02 UTC
Nischal - you wouldn't yet see this fix yet in MonoDevelop 3.0.3.4, although please report if the occurs when using Visual Studio.
Comment 7 Jatin 2013-03-19 09:58:49 UTC
We have verified this issue with the latest builds:

XS 4.0.2.22
MFA 4.6.01072

And we have observed that this issue is not appearing, as the user is able to decrease the size of the widget by dragging the widget.

PJ please let us know if we can close this issue w.r.t the above mentioned builds, as of now leaving it in resolved state.
Comment 8 PJ 2013-03-19 10:32:38 UTC
Yes, we have branched from master since comment 5, so you're all good to verify.
