The language setting of IOS devices determine the CultureInfo.Current setting, but if the language of the device is set to English (U.K.) then the CultureInfo is set to en-US. 

This CultureInfo is used as the default when parsing Dates and Times.
So DateTime.Parse("29/09/2017"), being a valid European date will fail because 29 is interpreted as the month (US style dates). This is quite confusing...

Since IOS can make a distinction between English (UK) and English (USA) these two should be mapped to a different CultureInfo. It would be even better if the Region Settings could be used for determining the default converions of dates and times.
