Please see this, http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=128748 . Soon users won't be able to add Moonlight for Chromium if its not a part of the Chrome Web Store.

To add, I have had this problem when adding Moonlight to Chromium.

Moonlight is unfortunately dead.

Moonlight is not dead yet.

Follow the instructions below and you will be able to install Moonlight in the latest version of Chrome (Version 23.0.1271.64).

I surprised that no one from the Linux community is bothered to continue the work on Moonlight. It is one of the most important plug in for the Linux users.
