Xamarin Forms 2.3.5.256-pre6 on the Mac

The saving of Properties using SavePropertiesAsync writes properties to a file
   /Users/myname/.config/.isolated_storage/PropertyStore.forms

The problem is that this sub-directory is not unique for each application.
So Xamarin Forms App 1 on MacOS and Xamarin Forms App 2 on MacOS are both using the same PropertyStore.forms file and reading each other's properties.
