Seen on UWP, Android appears to be fine.
Also checked against the 2.3.6-nightly
Turns out I was mistaken about the cause. The cause is setting WidthRequest to be too small. For some reason it will shrink the displayed width of the box, but the border of the box appears to have a minimum size than can't be less than 50 or so.
The FormsTextBox rendered on UWP has a MinWidth property that can be set to 0 (it seems to default to 64)
However, I found it necessary to tweak some other properties to get the exact result I was after for the scenario where I want the Entry to be the minimum width for its content.
