I tried adding the "System.Reactive 3.1.1" package to a Workbook using .NET Core profile and got this error that says that there is a circular dependency:
I suspect this may be a NuGet bug:
VS for Mac 7.0.1 has similar behaviour if you try to install the MvvmFormsBase 2.2.0-Alpha2 into an Android project:
Attempting to resolve dependencies for package 'MvvmFormsBase.2.2.0-Alpha2' with DependencyBehavior 'Lowest'
Circular dependency detected 'MvvmFormsBase 2.2.0-Alpha2 => System.Reactive 3.1.1 => System.Reactive.PlatformServices 4.0.0-preview00001 => System.Reactive 3.1.1'.
System.Reactive 3.1.1 has a dependency on System.Reactive.PlatformServices" >= "3.1.1". If NuGet's dependency lowest resolution behaviour is being used, which is what VS Mac uses, then NuGet should pick System.Reactive.PlatformServices 3.1.1 but for some reason does not.
Yeah, this looks like a NuGet bug, and it is not fixed in 4.3.0 final.
As a workaround, you can enable pre-release packages and install System.Reactive 4.0.0 preview, which won't have dependency issues.
