Precondition: you have a entry in your keepass database
1) open the keepass database file
2) double click on a entry
3) select the text in "User name" input field
4) hit ctrl+c or context menu to copy it
5) open e.g. gedit
6) hit ctrl+v or context menu in gedit it paste it

Text will not be inserted. Bug!

For reference, Just tried this with keepass2 (or is an older keepass required?) and it worked for me using these exact steps on Linux (Ubuntu 12.04 with latest updates).
