In visual studio 2017, Xamarin Android support F# is not working. Once a project is created, it works and can be pushed to the device. Once the project is reloaded, a message box saying that the framework is not installed will pop up. The project fails to reload regardless of what we do.
1 - Create an F# android app (OpenGL/blank/....)
2 - Close vs2017, Reload the project and the message box will pop up. The project will fail to reload.

@Juan Marcelo Tondato: I am unable to see the Bug 56184. Are there any ETA for fixing it ? and are there any workarounds ?
Sorry for the delay, we'll work on a fix for this issue soon (Setting target milestone as 15.3).
Thanks for reporting.
We're still working on this. As a temporal workaround, if you install the Android SDK from the installer for Xamarin (or installing VS2015), you will be able to load the project.
MSI is here: http://dl.xamarin.com/XamarinforVisualStudio/Windows/Xamarin.VisualStudio_220.127.116.113.msi. You can just select Android SDK from there (keep everything else unchecked).

Sadly, when I run it, I get a popup saying: This setup requires Microsoft Build Tools 2015 package to be installed for this installation to continue.
That package however is no longer available.
Any other workaround ?
This is now fixed here: https://github.com/Microsoft/visualfsharp/pull/3206
@Wael, the other option is to copy Reference Assemblies from Visual Studio (in program files x86\Microsoft\Visual Studio\(your install)\Common7\IDE\ReferenceAssemblies into Program Files (x86)\ReferenceAssemblies. This option is very hacky, but it should work :)
