Description fritzlim 2017-05-11 21:00:48 UTC
The items in a horizontally-centered picker (when HorizontalOptions = LayoutOptions.Center or LayoutOptions.CenterAndExpand) are shown as center-justified during selection, but become left-justified once selected (i.e. the item text appears left-justified once it's placed into the picker's "entry field").

Occurs on Xamarin.Forms 2.3.5.235-pre2.

To reproduce this, use the FormsGallery example and amend the picker code to be:

			Picker picker = new Picker
			{
				Title = "Color",
				VerticalOptions = LayoutOptions.CenterAndExpand,
				HorizontalOptions = LayoutOptions.Center
			};

The selected item will appear as left-justified.
I feel the correct behaviour should be that the selected item should be center-justified if the picker is horizontally-centered.

The justification appears to be an iOS specific issue, at least in terms of there being a visible difference; Android has the text left-aligned before and after selection.

it is beneficial for me to observe what i've written after i'm more detached and capable to analyze the state of affairs extra rationally. I hate inner turmoil, but have a tendency to go away matters unaddressed till they fester. Writing down my feelings within the moment keeps me from ignoring the preliminary feelings and allows me to address them later with a clear head.

The issues and tragedies which result consistently slant the psyches of men to look for insurance and rest inside the outright power of a man; and at last the pioneer of some triumphing group, additional skilled or additional fortunate than his rivals, turns this manner to the elements of his own height, at the remains of open freedom.
