Open a layout designer in Visual Studio. Change something on it. Then perform undo latest change source control operation (or get latest or something that would change the layout designer).
I get this message box during the operation:
The Android designer can only open layout files in an open project, because it requires access to project's resource files.
File does not appear to be in an open project.
I get this same error with Visual Studio 2012. I'm not using source control however, but I do recall clicking "undo" repeatedly in the axml file prior to the problem occurring.
Fixed. The fix will be included in Xamarin Studio 4.1.13 and Xamarin.Android 4.10.1.
