Description Dániel Buga 2017-04-24 11:37:37 UTC
When the target of a binding is a field (or a wrongly typed property name) instead of an actual property, the binding is silently ignored and no error is raised. This makes a simple issue difficult to debug and raising an exception would help in these situations.

Thank you for your feedback! This sounds like it could an enhancement in Xamarin.Forms so it would be best suited as a proposal in our Evolution forum[1] for future consideration. When submitting a proposal on the Evolution forum, be sure to first read the contribution guidelines[2] so your proposal is ready for discussion with the Forms team and community.
