Description Alan McGovern 2011-08-30 18:46:23 UTC
The docs recommend not appending the filetype as this allows iOS to automatically choose the correct resolution version:

http://developer.apple.com/library/prerelease/ios/#documentation/General/Reference/InfoPlistKeyReference/Articles/CoreFoundationKeys.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40009249-SW1

Is this worth doing?

Currently, this would be something to do in the plist rewriting phase in the build code. In future, when we implement the Resource folder and handle resource IDs properly, we would do it in the plist editor.

I checked, and we do already do this in the compiled plist.

MHutch is right - we do that already. The info.plist inside the project is different than that we deploy on the simulator/device.
