RESOLVED NORESPONSE

Description François M 2017-04-18 08:55:33 UTC
I had a ListView with RecycleElement. I wasn't happy with the recycling being visible to the user (maybe another post on that issue later) so I commented out the line to stop recycling.
However, my ItemSelected delegate stopped being called on iOS. Working fine on Android and UWP.

protected BaseSocialListView()
            //:base(ListViewCachingStrategy.RecycleElement)
        {
             ....
        }

var suggestionsList = new BaseSocialListView();
suggestionsList.ItemSelected += (sender, e) =>
            {
                //Not called anymore on iOS only
            };

sample project

I created a new sample project to test this, but I was not able to reproduce the issue. I've attached the project.

I tested with Forms 2.3.4 and 2.3.5-pre1 on an iOS 10.3 simulator and I observed the ItemSelected delegate being called with RecycleElement both enabled and disabled.

If you are experiencing this issue with Forms 2.3.4 or newer, please attach a project that reproduces the issue so we can look into this further. Note, we my close this report after thirty days of no response so when providing the requested information set the report status to NEW. Thanks!

Tks.
I'll try your sample project on 2.3.3 which I'm running and revert.
Comment 3 François M 2017-04-18 19:20:39 UTC
I can't reproduce it on a simple sample project so far. I'll add pieces from my code until it shows the unexpected behavior I described and then revert.
Comment 4 Jimmy [MSFT] 2017-06-07 18:30:41 UTC
Because we have not received a follow up in over 4 weeks, I'm going to go ahead and close this. However if you continue experiencing this issue, please reopen the ticket and attach a reproduction project so we can look into this further. Thanks!
