Sample in which the issue is reproduced
Image is not rendered in view, when deploying in Forms.UWP in release mode
I have attached a sample, please refer it. Run the sample in Forms.UWP (debug mode), the image will be rendered in view. Run the sample in Forms.UWP (release mode), the image will not be rendered in view.
Note: The image is rendered in view in Forms.UWP in release mode, if i add the assembly to the image source as in the below code.

The referred to link is presumably the one which will be updated, so you should be able to simply keep an eye on it. These sorts of issues involving documentation are typically closed as we prefer to focus on leaving issues involving application/Forms bugs open to not clog the open backlog of work.
