I just had this NullReferenceException when trying to add a new project in an existing solution (master as of today):

Ok, somehow I had local changes in my monodevelop clone, that I didn't make, in:

main/src/core/MonoDevelop.Ide/gtk-gui/MonoDevelop.Ide.Projects.NewProjectDialog.cs

(And other files like that)

With changes like this:

-			this.entry_location = new global::MonoDevelop.Components.FolderEntry ();
-			this.entry_location.Name = "entry_location";
+			this.entry_location = null;

So, somehow the gtk addin may be broken (it may have done this when I opened MonoDevelop inside MonoDevelop).
