## Bookkeeping note

I will prepare a non-engineering team preliminary quick review for this report.
Comment 2 Jon Goldberger [MSFT] 2017-03-20 20:19:21 UTC
Non-engineering team preliminary quick review
(See https://developer.xamarin.com/guides/cross-platform/troubleshooting/questions/howto-file-bug/ for general reference.)

## Suspected to be a regression or a problem with a new feature?
Uncertain. I was not able to reproduce the issue with a new template iOS project and Workbooks and Inspector installed into VS 2015 Update 3 Enterprise. Template app project deployed successfully to both simulator and device.

## Specific to one particular project, development computer, or target mobile device?
Uncertain.

## Includes clear steps to reproduce the problem?
No. I was not able to reproduce the issue with the steps provided.

## Considers the relevant log files for the part(s) of the process where something goes wrong (IDE editing, MSBuild building, deploying, launching, attaching the debugger, an in-app error, or something else), and has them attached?
Does include stack trace of error.

## Already took up time for many users?
Unclear. This is the only report I have seen for this issue and no other users are on the cc list for this bug report.

## Makes development (a) difficult, impossible, or potentially hazardous, (b) moderately inconvenient, or (c) mildly inconvenient for users?
I would say (a) based on the description, but since I can not reproduce the issue it is hard to say if this is an issue with the specific project the bug reporter is using or an issue in the Xamarin tools. However it might be (b) or (c) if the issue can be avoided by uninstalling Inspector.

Given that a couple weeks have passed without additional repro information, I'm closing this for now.

Please do reopen if this happens again and please provide version information as well as logs.

Thanks!

I am experiencing this same issue. Project builds successfully but fails to run when building from Windows 10 VM in Parellels to Mac Agent with Ipad Air connected. Xamarin 4.4.0.34, Xamarin.iOS 10.8.0.174, macOS 10.12.4, Windows 10.0.14393 Build 14393.

Debug Output

I have to leave for the day but can update tomorrow if there's more info I can provide

I haveve tried full system reboot, solution clean, solution rebuild with no change
Comment 6 me 2017-05-05 14:05:41 UTC
So an update. Our team has multiple solutions. Our main solution contains every project we have (iOS, Android, Windows specific projects, as well as common core project that are shared between) (around 30 projects total). This solution also has build configurations for every platform/scenario we have. We also have platform specific solutions which only contain the projects necessary to build on one platform. This morning I was able to build and run our iOS app from our iOS solution. So this problem has something to do with how our main solution is configured. What that is I do not know. If you have any suggestions for how to diagnose this I'd love to hear them.

I have the same situation as comment 6: Multiple projects in a single solution with shared dependencies. I am also able to build from a standalone solution. I think this points to an issue in Visual Studio or with the solution. Maybe the build configurations?
