Got exception in ikdasm when tried to disasm stuff which was assembled using ilasm
Comment 1 Katelyn Gadd 2017-05-04 08:30:22 UTC
This is at least two bugs. Mono ilasm appears to generate an incorrect hello.exe here that happens to run but makes ikdasm choke. If you assemble it using the MS .NET ilasm the output exe works fine in ikdasm.

ikdasm also is not handling this incorrect exe right - MS ildasm handles it fine. For some reason the mscorlib reference it's using to resolve types is hosed so the disassembler is unable to find any mscorlib types in order to print them out.
Comment 2 Katelyn Gadd 2017-05-11 18:05:06 UTC
I was incorrect as a result of a non-obvious makefile behavior. Mono ilasm is fine. So the only bug here is in ikdasm and a fix has been found. It should make it in to mono in the future. Thanks for the report.
