I trieded it also from xamarin studio with the same result. NO UPDATE.

There is an issue with the update ID that was generated for this build that we had to work around on the update server to ensure that the previous version installations would be offered this update.

Unfortunately it also means that the current release is being offered the update to itself, which is annoying, but can safely be ignored. As long as the about box indicates 1.2 RC 2, you have the update installed.

This will be addressed with next week's RC 3 release.
