RESOLVED NORESPONSE

Description Kerry Ritter 2017-03-04 16:18:57 UTC
# Steps to reproduce
1. Create a new solution with the Xamarin Forms with portable library option.
2. Attempt to run the android project on simulator or device.

# Expected behavior
App compiles and run as expected

# Actual behavior
First, I received the errors described in this post: https://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/77924/missingmethodexception-android-support-v4-widget-drawerlayout-adddrawerlistener-not-found. I then upgraded Xamarin.Forms in the portable project and installed "Xamarin.Android.Support.v7.RecyclerView" v23.3.0 on the Android project. Now seeing: "error: package android.support.v7.internal.widget.ViewStubCompat does not exist	android.support.v7.internal.widget.ViewStubCompat.OnInflateListener	..\v7\internal\widget\ViewStubCompat_OnInflateListenerImplementor.java"

# Supplemental info (logs, images, videos)

Running VS2013 on Windows 10 Anniversary (bootcamped on Mac)

Here's my current VS errors tab (note - i have verified the SDK path in the options window):

I was not able to reproduce this with a new Forms PCL project. The project built and ran successfully.

I am running the C9 stable release (see version information below). Can you attach your version information? Go to "Help > About Microsoft Visual Studio > Copy Info".

The `MissingMethodException` issue has been resolved so this may indicate you are using an older Xamarin build. To check for updates, in Visual Studio go to "Tools, Options > Xamarin > Other > Check Now".
