RESOLVED NOT_ON_ROADMAP

Description migajek 2012-05-23 08:42:10 UTC
Steps to reproduce:

1. Start a new Solution
2. Select Python -> Empty python project, provide name and location
3. Go to Project -> <project name> Options, Run -> Python section.
4. Add some Module Paths (for my Ubuntu, it's /usr/lib/python2.7/
5. let it work for a while. (wait until CPU usage of monodevelop goes down)
6. now, no matter what action I take, the following error occurs:

System.ApplicationException: Timeout expired
  at System.Threading.ReaderWriterLock.AcquireWriterLock (Int32 millisecondsTimeout, Int32 initialLockCount) [0x00056] in /build/buildd/mono-2.10-2.10.5/mcs/class/corlib/System.Threading/ReaderWriterLock.cs:150
  at System.Threading.ReaderWriterLock.AcquireWriterLock (TimeSpan timeout) [0x00008] in /build/buildd/mono-2.10-2.10.5/mcs/class/corlib/System.Threading/ReaderWriterLock.cs:162
  at PyBinding.Parser.ParserDatabase.AddRange (IEnumerable`1 items) [0x00000] in /build/buildd/monodevelop-python-2.8-2.8.8.4/PyBinding/PyBinding.Parser/ParserDatabase.cs:168
  at PyBinding.PythonSiteImpl+<ParseFile>c__AnonStorey13.<>m__C (System.Object ) [0x002ca] in /build/buildd/monodevelop-python-2.8-2.8.8.4/PyBinding/PyBinding/PythonSite.cs:269

7. no matter what action I take, it shows again. I need to kill MonoDevelop

The python addin is no longer supported in 3.x.

MonoDevelop 3.x contains a new code completion infrastructure - but that bug seems to be related to the python addin.

- But we seek a maintainer for it.

thats a pity, I'd love to work on Python projects in MonoDevelop ;)
