Description Rob DeRosa 2017-02-22 21:59:28 UTC
The Android version of this app (github.com/xamarin/sport) throws an unhandled exception when you switch to View Inspector on Windows 10, VS2017, Inspector 1.1.1.0(1.1-release/607f1ba)

Thanks!

Csn you attach logs?

    ~/Library/Logs/Xamarin/Inspector/Xamarin Inspector {date}.log
Comment 2 Rob DeRosa 2017-02-22 22:13:15 UTC
Sure thing. What is the log path on Windows?
Comment 3 Sandy Armstrong [MSFT] 2017-02-22 22:17:53 UTC
    %LOCALAPPDATA%\Xamarin\Inspector\logs\Xamarin Inspector {date}.log

https://developer.xamarin.com/guides/cross-platform/inspector/install/ has them listed if you ever need to look them up.

Comment 5 Bojan Rajkovic [MSFT] 2017-03-02 16:36:34 UTC
Hey Rob, does this happen with every app, or only with some particular app?
Comment 6 Rob DeRosa 2017-03-02 16:40:08 UTC
I only noticed it w/ the Sport project after you authenticate.
Comment 7 Bojan Rajkovic [MSFT] 2017-03-02 16:41:20 UTC
Hmm, OK. Do I need to do anything special to be able to authenticate, or can I just clone the repo and go?
Comment 8 Rob DeRosa 2017-03-02 16:41:56 UTC
Clone and authenticate w/ any Google account.
Comment 9 Rob DeRosa 2017-03-02 16:49:21 UTC
The exception happens in Visual Studio but can be hard to see if the Inspector window is covering VS.
Comment 10 Bojan Rajkovic [MSFT] 2017-03-02 16:51:48 UTC
Were you able to reproduce doing the same thing on Mac?
Comment 11 Rob DeRosa 2017-03-02 16:53:20 UTC
The Google android emulator never gets passed the boot screen so I dont have an Android emulator I can test w/ on Mac - I always use a device on Mac + Vysor but Ive been told Inspector does not work against Android devices yet.
Comment 12 Bojan Rajkovic [MSFT] 2017-03-02 22:52:09 UTC
Fixed by https://github.com/xamarin/inspector/commit/aa9de06851c83ad15305458e911e9d6465b3ad45. Should be in 1.2/15.1.
Comment 13 Alok Kulkarni 2017-03-21 15:03:22 UTC
Verified on Inspector 1.2.0/15.1
Comment 14 softlion 2018-01-02 16:25:06 UTC
Same error on iOS and latest stable version of inspector....

Unable to find assembly 'Xamarin.Interactive.Wpf, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'
Comment 15 Sandy Armstrong [MSFT] 2018-01-02 17:08:41 UTC
@softlion please provide your Inspector log, and can you provide more details about what kind of iOS app you are inspecting? Is it a Xamarin.Forms app?
Comment 16 Sandy Armstrong [MSFT] 2018-01-02 17:09:10 UTC
Also what version of Visual Studio and Xamarin.iOS do you have installed?
Comment 17 softlion 2018-01-02 20:07:25 UTC
Inspector has just updated itself to the latest version (from the previous minor version) on Windows.

It works fine now.

Well inspector does works fine.
Remoted iOS simulator does not.
