Sample showing issue

In a simple grid with two labels, the first label has a long string of text. If you set LineBreakMode to tail truncate on this label, it doesn't truncate. Instead the first label overlaps the second label.

Note this is not a regression of 22611 since it happens whether the row is set to Auto or Star.

See sample project to reproduce. Tested on 2.3.180 and latest pre release.

Thank you for taking the time to file this report! I ran the attached project and I am seeing the issue you described so I am confirming this report. This seems to be happening on all platforms (Android, iOS, UWP).

repro solution

Updating the repro project to avoid a runtime crash on Android from missing Android support packages.

Any update on this?

Any update on this almost 1 year old bug? It would be great if something as simple as a label was displayed correctly.
